Queens SHARE Informational support groups on breast cancer awareness and ovarian cancer detection conducted throughout Queens and Long Island.

Reading and Writing Circle. . .Words of Hope, Words of Healing at Pathways Women’s Health – Manhasset Diagnostic Imaging – support group using creative arts as a modality through which women with cancer can express themselves through creative writing and selected readings.

Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S. Community-wide educational conference focusing on detection and treatment of breast cancer as well as stress management strategies for patients and caregivers.

AWARE Program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Eight-week course for women at risk for breast cancer teaching stress management with meditation, yoga, nutrition and fitness.
Program Director: Dr. Barrie Cassileth

South Fork Breast Health Coalition “Pink Ribbon Bags” were provided to women diagnosed with breast cancer on the East End of Long Island containing self-help tools and comfort items that women with cancer will find helpful during treatment as well as information and resources.
